Photos & Images

I do not have a digital copy of my photo; can I still print this photo on canvas?

We can only use digital files of images. Fortunately, you can take your printed photos to a local print shop or photo kiosk and convert them into digital files. It is usually not very expensive to have an entire album converted. For quality results, your digital photos need to be at least 150 dpi.

We can only provide this service for a large order. If you have more than 10 photos to print on canvas, please contact us, and we will try our best to help you.

I do not know anything about photo editing or computers; how will I know the print will look good?

We ask that your digital file is at least 150 dpi, as photos of this resolution look great on canvas prints. If you are not sure about how your photo will look, email the image to support@thecanvasprints.co.uk. Let us know the canvas photo sizes you are considering, and we will provide you with recommendations.

Construction & Printing

How are your frames made?

We use 100% European pine frames that are sourced from managed forests. The depth of the canvas bar is 38mm/1.5 inches or 18mm/0.7 inches. Each of our high-quality, durable frames includes a raised lip around the perimeter; this keeps indentations from forming on the canvas.

What type of canvas do you use?

Our canvas photo prints are printed on HD poly-cotton mix with a GSM count of 300. To protect your high-quality canvases, we can add a coating that helps makes them resistant to water, dust, and UV light damage. All of our canvas prints come with a free hanging kit.

Do you offer canvas wrapping options?

Absolutely. Your canvas photo print can be stretched around the frame in one of three ways:

Mirror Wrap

The entire photo is visible from the front, and the image is mirrored onto the sides of the frame.

Gallery Wrap

The image is wrapped continuously around the frame's front and sides.

Solid Color Wrap

The entire photo is visible from the front, and the sides are filled with the solid color of your choosing.

What kind of printers and inks do you use?

We print using state-of-the-art, professional Epson printers and certified Epson inks.

Care & Maintenance

Are canvas photos difficult to keep clean?

Absolutely not. You can clean your canvas print using a static-electricity dusting cloth or a vacuum with a brush attachment. You should never use any cleaning liquid or compound.

How long will my prints last?

If you keep your prints out of direct sunlight and shield canvas prints from dust and moisture, they can last many years. For added protection, you can also laminate your canvas prints.

Delivery

How much will delivery cost?

The delivery is free to the mainland UK for orders over £99. The delivery is £3.99 per order to mainland UK for orders less than £100. As we supply all over Europe, the prices depend on where you live. The delivery costs are clearly visible at the checkout when you enter your shipping address.

Do you deliver to PO boxes?

Yes, we do.

How long does it take?

If you reside in the UK, you can expect your canvas print to arrive within 3 business days.

What payment methods do you accept, and are they secure?

We accept PayPal and all major credit cards through stripe. All of our online payments are processed through a secure server using the latest encryption technology.
